Ep. 43 "The Late Night Vision Show" | Gaining Hunting Land Access and Texting Game Cameras!!!

Image
We’ve had some recent listener questions that we wanted to address on the show, so this week spend some time discussing two topics. A question that has come up several times recently, has to do with gaining access to land for hunting hogs or coyotes. Hans and Jason talk about some different methods and ideas on how to  get access to hunting land, as well as other issues surrounding the topic. In the second segment we discuss the questions of using cellular game cameras for tracking the movements of hogs and we discuss the way that we use these cameras to have more successful hunts.

PRIMOS GEN 3 TRIGGER STICK TRIPOD | 4 HOGS DOWN!!!..

PRIMOS GEN 3 TRIGGER STICK TRIPOD... 4 Boar Hogs Down! Thermal hog hunting with the Primos Gen 3 Trigger Stick Tripod in Texas. Many people have asked about shooting sticks and which one would be best to spend money on. From my personal experience using many different types of sticks... from monopoles to bipods... I have had terrible luck. As you know, tripods can get very expensive, up into the several hundreds of dollars. I really hate to spend $700 on something that I know is going to get abused... The Primos Gen 3 Trigger Stick Tripod (Tall) is around $150 and it has taken all the abuse that I've been able to dish out and has lasted for a year now. If it broke today... I'd turn around and buy another one just like it! All hog hunts in the video are with the Pulsar Trail XP50 and DiamondBack 6.5 Creedmoor...

My 1st Predator Hunting Tournament | 8 Coyotes!!!...

My 1st Predator Hunting Tournament... 8 Coyotes!!!  Hooked up with the boys from TxBaconTech YouTube Channel for the Conway Farms Predator Tournament in East Texas.  Ended up getting 2nd place out of 13 teams!  I was pretty proud of our team and effort.  None of use are dedicated predator hunters (... really only shoot them when they are dumb enough to poke their head out when we are hog hunting).  This was a 24 hour hunt... and we hunted hard!!  Only stopped to take a 1 hour nap at 6am to 7am and then we were back at it to finish up the hunt.  All Thermal videos were with the Pulsar Trail XP50 Thermal Rifle Scope, DiamondBack Firearms 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle, and Hornady Match 120 Grain Ammo.  Go and give the boys at TxBaconTech a follow... I'll be hunting a lot more with them in the future.  Stay tuned for new Thermal Rifle Scope reviews coming up with the Axion, Thermion, Sightmark Wraith, and N-Vision Halo!!

Ep. #41 "THE LATE NIGHT VISION SHOW" Podcast | ATN OPTICS | AN HONEST DISCUSSION AND OUR OPINIONS!!!

Image
ATN. Say the name and you’ll get a strong response. Sometimes it’s a glowing review by a happy customer and other times it’s a foul language from an unhappy customer. For 40 episodes of The Late Night Vision Show, we mentioned almost nothing about ATN. Never a scope review, never a recommendation, we basically acted as if they didn’t exist and this puzzled many people and generated many questions from listeners. Today, we break our silence and offer a full discussion, explanation and our opinions on the company. We are speaking from our own first hand personal experiences, both as users and a long time NV and thermal dealer and also from what we hear daily from ATN customers that we speak to. We want to be clear, these are our opinions and our opinions only. If you own an ATN product and love it, that’s great! We are not here to bash anyone else’s products, nor are we here to intentionally run ATN down. We want to see the customer service issues changed and if the company solves these

The Wraith will retail for $499 and features a full HD color daytime mode, as well as a black and white HD night time mode. If you’re interested in hearing everything we currently know about the Wraith, tune into this episode. If you’re interested in pre-ordering a Sightmark Wraith HD, call Jason at Outdoor Legacy at (877)350-1818.  In the second half of the show Jason and Hans answer the question, “What does the future hold for traditional night vision?” This is an interesting topic and needs to be discussed because traditional tube based night vision was the predecessor to digital NV and thermal imaging. This whole industry and the modern sport of night hunting is what is today because of the traditional image intensification night vision scopes that were so popular in years past. Jason talks about their
